I've been snowboarding for 12 years and in that time, I am sad to say, I never learned how to set or adjust the links on my own position or angle. I always left this to my partner or the guys in the shop, and only spoke to her. Last year, days before going to Chamonix, my husband decided it was time I take care of my own team, so I handed the screwdriver and told me to find out for myself.
Through a lot of frustration and research, I discovered that there is no one answer for what its position should be. position is based on what feels best for the pilot and takes into account how Are you an aggressive driver, if you are foolish or fair, If you ride switch, and more. The best way to find a position that feels right to you is to get in slope, and try some variations.
Before you what though, you need to know how to adjust your links. To do this in the slope you will need a tool Snowboard. Snowboard A tool is basically a compact screwdriver that has a ratchet mechanism that allows you to easily change directions, ie, screws or unscrew. These tools can vary from simple to complex, but all caches usually contain extra bits ready. If you is a gear head or not, this tool is a must have for all pilots.
Then, looking at your links, you see there are marks on the motherboard degrees. There are also screws on the motherboard, usually three or four, keeping the union on the board. Using the tool, you should be able to partially unscrew these screws enough so you can maneuver the angle of the union without having to take all the screws out. This technique enables one to avoid dropping a screw in the snow while adjusting the angle of position on the hill.
With all the screws loose, but still attached to the plate, should now be able to adjust its position carefully turn the mandatory right or left. Now the frustrating part: how much is set each foot? This is where it all comes down to preference. Some runners like a duck stance, ie the toes on each foot is pointing outward. Some people like the back foot and only a perpendicular angle to move in front. Moreover, some people, like the two feet forward. If you are a beginner, start with a basic stance of his front foot angle forward and back straight or slightly forward.
Once you've chosen to set the angles, use the tool and the screw in all screws. Now you can strap on your links and see how things feel, taking care not to damage the seal or the edges depending on what type of soil that is. If you are satisfied with the configuration, then you are ready for the hill.
Arriving on the hill, running with his new position. If you feel you have trouble converting, if the Board squirrel finds beneath you, or if things are not going well in general, then find a safe place in the side of the slope, or make your way to the bottom and find a space where you can download and adjust your links. It is finding out what feels right for you, get out your handy and get your sorted. You'll probably need some adjustments, but come to the end and you have done everything on their own. Go you!
